PROTECTION & GBV RESPONSE

protection crisis. An estimated 2.7 million women and girls are at risk, with studies indicating that approximately 65% will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetimes. This pervasive violence is fueled by a combination of entrenched patriarchal norms, climate-induced displacement, widespread impunity, and critical humanitarian funding shortfalls.

Our gender-based violence (GBV) response strategies are driven by a survivor-centered approach operating through four core pillars: Integrated Response Services, Risk Mitigation, Social Norms Transformation, and Women’s Empowerment. To combat entrenched patriarchal norms, widespread impunity, and massive climate-induced displacement, we provide immediate, comprehensive support to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), ensuring safety, dignity, and access to services.

We further deliver mental health and psychosocial support services, counseling to women and girls affected by conflict and climate shocks crisis and GBV survivors, fostering mental well-being and resilience for recovery and rebuilding their lives.

We further work to protect the rights of women and children through raising awareness around human rights, and fighting against early/forced marriage, fostering a safe environment and legal protection for women and girls.
